At the Operational Training School in Montelibretti (RM) the national fire brigade get to know new technologies for urgent technical rescue available on the market. It's an intense week, in which firefighters from all over Italy, distributed over an area of 16 hectares, get to test the effectiveness of innovative systems and equipment in various realistic scenarios: state-of-the-art radio systems to facilitate communication between teams, infrared visors to improve operations in opaque or nocturnal environments, innovative PPE and intelligent clothing that enable the localisation of operators at the scene of intervention, systems for the recovery of people who have fallen into wells, products and components that can be used to improve the safety of operators.
